Explore Wilms Tumor Research Papers, PubMed Studies & Scientific Literature
Welcome to the Wilms Cancer Foundation Papers & PubMed page, a dedicated resource for exploring Wilms tumor research papers, PubMed studies, peer-reviewed scientific literature, and published childhood kidney cancer research from around the world. This research library brings together important scientific publications covering the breadth of Wilms tumor and pediatric renal tumor research, including tumor biology, genetics, molecular biomarkers, pathology, diagnosis, staging, surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy, clinical trials, relapse, high-risk disease, survival, surveillance, late effects, and long-term survivorship.
As a global organization dedicated specifically to Wilms tumor and childhood kidney cancer, the Wilms Cancer Foundation works to improve access to trusted scientific knowledge and help connect families, healthcare professionals, researchers, advocates, and the wider childhood cancer community with research relevant to understanding and treating Wilms tumor. Through the Global Wilms Tumor Initiative™ (GWTI), the Wilms Tumor Knowledge Index™ (WTKI), and engagement with researchers, healthcare institutions, international organizations, and childhood cancer partners, the Foundation supports the exchange and accessibility of knowledge that can contribute to continued progress in Wilms tumor research and care.
This page provides access to peer-reviewed Wilms tumor research papers and scientific studies, with concise WCF summaries explaining the focus and potential relevance of each publication alongside links to PubMed, scientific journals, and original published research. Explore studies from international pediatric oncology researchers and collaborative groups investigating areas such as Wilms tumor genetics and genomics, tumor development, molecular risk factors, treatment response, chemotherapy resistance, surgical techniques, relapsed and refractory disease, precision medicine, survivorship, and global treatment outcomes.
The Papers & PubMed collection is designed to complement WCF's Research News service. Research News provides accessible coverage and explanation of significant developments, while Papers & PubMed provides a deeper gateway into the underlying scientific literature and primary research. Together, these resources allow readers to follow both the evolving research landscape and the published evidence behind advances in our understanding of Wilms tumor.
Scientific research continually changes our understanding of childhood kidney cancer, but findings reported in an individual paper do not necessarily represent established clinical practice or a treatment recommendation. WCF provides these publications for education, research awareness, and knowledge sharing. Families and caregivers should discuss research that may be relevant to an individual child's diagnosis or treatment with their pediatric oncology team.

PRAME-Specific T-Cell Therapy in Advanced Pediatric Nephroblastoma
August 2026
New England Journal of Medicine. Particularly newsworthy: this reports PRAME-targeted T-cell therapy in a child with advanced nephroblastoma. The authors reported a 69% tumor reduction, with molecular, metabolic and histologic evidence of complete remission at 200 days. This is a single-patient report, so it should be presented as promising early evidence rather than an established treatment.
